An affordable, yet powerful and unique, set of geodatabase tools for natural resource managers in ArcGIS desktop. At the core are the Plot Loader, Spatial Overlay and Plot Allocator tools which allow creation and management of forest inventory data in the same database as other data such as stands and inventory plots. Having all your data in one place facilitates reporting, data exporting and analysis.
Plot Allocator: a flexible batch tool for creating cruise or sample grids in polygons (stands, management units, etc). Three methods of grid creation available:
· Automatic: create desired number of points using polygon attribute, grid orientation, internal polygon buffering, and ratio between plots on a line & between lines
· Simple: create points at desired spacing across all polygons in target layer
· Custom: create traditional grids by entering spacing between points along a line and between lines
Other plot allocator settings available:
· Grid azimuth by polygon
· Orientation of grids on long axis of polygon
· Internal polygon buffering to push points inside edges of polygons
· Spatial overlay to move attribute data from polygons into points
· Control over unique id’s in created points
Plot Loader: a tool to load T-Cruise tree and plot data into the geodatabase with stands. Features include:
· Data management for deleting and reloading plots and trees
· Spatial overlay between plots and stands upon load
· Id and key management across multiple LandMark Export loads
· Helps user form central management of all plot and tree data for inventory in order to accommodate
other tools for stand stock tables and stand statistics
Spatial Overlay: move any attribute data from stand polygons to the plots within them
Premium Tools
RCW Matrix Tables: creates USFWS Red Cockaded Woodpecker (RCW) Matrix Application compatible stand polygons from client stands and forest inventory data. Customized on case by case basis to accommodate RCW measurements.
Waypoint Creator: allows user to create Solo waypoint files from points created in allocator.
Stand and Stock Tables: using stands and plot and tree data loaded with Plot Loader, allows creation of standard stand stock table. Outputs can also be customized for specific client needs.
Stand and Strata Stats: creates desired statistics by strata or stand in Excel format using client stands and plot data.
